Hi, I'm Lita. The woman behind Romelle.

I've always believed that a great bag should do two things at once: make you feel confident, and actually make your day easier. Not one or the other. Both.

We saw a gap. Professional women in Indonesia were carrying bags from overseas brands, not because they preferred them, but because there was no local option that felt equally good. Not just functional. Not just pretty. Both at once, without compromise.

That gap is why Romelle exists. And every product we make is our answer to it.

The Idea

2024 — The Idea

It started with a conversation over coffee. My partner and I were sitting in a cafe, talking about something we had both noticed for a long time: professional women in Indonesia deserve a local work bag that is genuinely good. Not good for the price. Just good. That afternoon, the idea for Romelle was born on the back of that conversation.

The Process

December 2024 — The Process

We had the idea. What we did not have was any experience making bags. We started from zero. Finding the right production partner took months. Finding materials that felt right took even longer. We visited factories, tested fabrics, and started sketching designs with no guarantee that any of it would work. It was chaotic, exciting, and often frustrating. But we kept going.

The Samples

January 2025 — The Samples

Our first samples arrived. They were not perfect, and we knew it. But holding something physical for the first time made everything feel real. We went through round after round of revisions, testing every detail: the weight, the structure, the feel of the material, the size of each pocket. Getting things right took longer than we expected. That part never changes.

The Launch

May 2025 — The Launch

Romelle's first products shipped. It was a small batch, and it felt enormous. The feedback from our first customers was honest and direct, and we listened to every single word. Some things worked. Some things needed to be better. We took notes on everything, and we got back to work.

Sutton Bag launched, and something shifted. Reviews came in without us asking. Customers tagged us on Instagram because they genuinely wanted to share. People told us their coworkers stopped them in the hallway to ask where the bag was from. We knew we had made something that worked, not just as a product, but as something people actually felt proud to carry.

Romelle Today

Today

Romelle Today

More than 8,000 women across Indonesia now carry Romelle as part of their everyday. We are still a small team, still learning, and still obsessed with the details. Every piece of feedback shapes what we build next. We have a long way to go, and that is exactly what keeps us going.

Our Concept

Our Concept

A focused collection of work bags designed around real routines. We do not make bags to fill a catalog. We make them to solve a specific problem: giving professional women one bag they can rely on completely, every single day.

Our Materials

Our Materials

We use premium vegan leather and high-quality suede selected for durability, feel, and daily wearability. Every material is chosen because it earns its place, not just because it looks good in a photo.

Our Designs

Our Designs

Every compartment, every stitch, every strap adjustment has a reason. We design from the inside out, starting with what the bag needs to do before deciding how it should look. The result is a bag that feels as good as it looks.

Our People

Our People

Romelle is built by a small team that cares deeply about what we make and who we make it for. We work with local production partners who hold the same standards we do. And we are supported by a community of customers who keep us honest and keep us moving forward.
